Getting hold of the driver version is fundamental in attempting to track down the precise up graded GIGABYTE GBB363 RAID Controller. Regretably this cannot be completed by implementing windows device manager as the info provided there is usually expired itself. Ok two things. Make sure you have your BIOS setup to boot from the SATA (Make sure you have any IDE hard drives unplugged until you have Windows up and running).

I have a PC/Server custom build with: * Gigabyte motherboard GA-Z170X-UD3 * 2 Kingston SSD HD (SATA connection) 240 GB * 2 Seagate SATA HD 3 TB * 1 DVD-RW (SATA). * 32 GB Kingston RAM * Intel CPU I5 or I7 Question 1: HD and DVD are connected with SATA-cables to 5 of 6 SATA connectors on the M-board. SATA mode = RAID. 'HD mode' = Legacy (if trying disabled or UHCI the DVD-RW is not found). I have created two raid1-sets, one 240 GB with the SSD drives, and on 3 TB with the SATA-drives. During installation of Windows SBS 2011 (windows server 2008 R2) I could install OS to the SSD RAID-set as wanted. This RAID-set is shown as one single hardrive 240 GB as it should be. But, my 3 TB RAID-set are not working. It is shown as two separate disc at 746 GB. Any idea of why? Question 2:
Gigabyte Raid Controller Driver
I have found that this M-board has no drivers for WIndows server OS, but it is to late to start from scratch now.
Do you know a way to find drivers for those missing after installation of OS? See attached screen shot. I would need a RAID driver/software and maybe also a good idea to install drivers för theese system devices in device manager. I think best option is to point them to the driver list, scroll down to Intel and choose the nearest intel device from the list. Or are there any drivers working for server OS ? disk.png
